Main features
Secure connection establishment
Do you want to react quickly to a technical problem or specific customer request without having to send out a service technician straight away? No problem. With the One Click Remote Service, service staff can connect to machines, plants, installations, or equipment all over the world within a very short time. If the permission is granted, connection setup is automatically initialised via the WWH protocol.
Activate remote maintenance. Respond immediately.
Real-time machine management
Only those who have device and process information continuously “on the radar” can use it at all or react to it. We have developed our dashboard application precisely for this requirement. Whether individual machines or entire machine series: the visualisation allows you to keep an eye on the respective status at all times – in real time. This enables you to react more quickly to any changes or even to uncover and exploit hidden potential.

Custom update management
This application helps you to keep track of the firmware versions for machines: At a glance, it is easy to see which machines, plants, installations and equipment need updating. With our “Firmware Management”, you can decide when you want to update firmware. All custom settings are retained when you update.
Firmware management
Threshold values of the machine can be defined at which an alarm is to be triggered. Define recipients or groups to be notified in the event of an exceedance. This is how easy it is to ensure that the right employees are notified in the event of a machine malfunction and the necessary measures can be initiated immediately.
Alarms and notifications
Granular structure mapping of affiliations and rights of individual users within groups and organisations. By simply check marking, organisations can be assigned certain features and groups certain rights according to the “top-bottom” principle, authorising individual users to act. Users receive their rights exclusively via group membership. The groups in turn derive their rights from the features of the parent organisation.
User, permission and organisational management
You can save the entire topology of your machines as a template. All firewalls and the elements and information registered behind them are saved as a template (including configuration and rights management). In addition, you can add comments at different levels, such as the exact location of the machine. This saves a lot of time, especially for series plant, installation and equipment manufacturers, because their machines, plants, installations and equipment often have the same configurations.
Device management
The service technician works with a copy of the templates in a virtual machine – without direct access to the remote network. All changes made by the service technician in the Virtual Machine are deleted after the work is completed, according to the “Golden Image” principle. A new copy is created if the service technician reconnects to the virtual machine. Depending on the rights assigned, changes to the template can only be made by authorised users and are then permanent.
Virtual machines
Unique assignment
Whether user, router, or PC: This application allows you to assign smartcards and certificates to individual users and devices. These can be released without restriction or only for a certain period of time, or they can be deactivated again. After connecting a smartcard for the first time, the corresponding user also receives a PIN. In the event of loss, the smartcard can be blocked in the web portal.
Smartcard and certificate administration
Secure protocol
With WWH, ADS-TEC offers a specially developed communication protocol that does not require a VPN connection. WWH uses HTTPs for communication, which ensures authentication by means of a software certificate or smartcard. Secure Data Push monitors the machine and sends the data to Big-LinX. The intervals of how often data should be sent to the cloud can be set individually.
WWH – world wide heartbeat
REST API (Representational State Transfer – Application Programming Interface) refers to an open, uniform programming interface used for distributed systems, especially for web services. A collection of open-source tools allows users to design, create, document, and use http web services. It is mainly used to optimise machine-to-machine communication.
